LysP8 in Basel

The LysP8 residential and commercial building in Basel pairs timber construction with reuse design principles. Poured earth floors using Oxara's Oxacrete® Nossim were implemented in selected residential units, community spaces, and commercial areas. The poured earth floor was cast on cross-laminated timber slabs for the first time. In-situ acoustic testing showed equivalent performance compared to conventional screed systems. The project showed the usability of the product as it was produced in a concrete plant, delivered in a conventional concrete truck and pumped into place.
