Our obligation:
having an impact that lasts.

We walk the talk.

The construction industry plays a crucial role in shaping the world. And with that comes the opportunity — and responsibility — to lead the transition to a more sustainable future.

To meet global climate goals and stay on track for Net Zero by 2050, we need to rethink how we build. Because while construction enables progress, it also accounts for:

  • ~40% of global CO₂ emissions
  • ~1/3 of the world’s waste
  • Heavy use of primary, non-renewable resources

These are big challenges.
But they’re also chances to innovate.

Cement: reliable, but emissions-heavy

Cement has built our cities, bridges, and homes. It's a core ingredient of concrete and a cornerstone of modern infrastructure. But it's also energy- and emission-intensive:

  • ~8% of global CO₂ emissions
  • High-temperature kilns (1450°C)
  • CO₂ released through chemical reactions during production

We don’t question the importance of cement — we just believe there should be viable, low-carbon alternatives alongside it.
And those are ready.

Cement-free binders, ready for real-world use

What Oxara brings to the table

Oxara offers a portfolio of cement-free binders designed to meet the practical demands of today’s construction industry. Whether it’s for load-bearing masonry, screeds, or alternative concrete applications — our solutions are made to work with existing production processes.

What sets them apart is what they don’t need:

  • No burning process = no combustion emissions
  • No calcination = no CO₂ released through chemical reactions
  • Lower energy demand overall

By reducing the embedded CO₂ in construction materials, we support developers, architects, and manufacturers in meeting stricter carbon targets, green building standards, and future regulations.

It’s not just about offsetting — it’s about cutting emissions at the source.

The result: up to 70% less CO₂
per cubic meter of building material

— depending on the formulation and raw materials used.

Circularity as standard, not extra

Construction generates large amounts of excavation material and demolition waste — and much of it still ends up in landfills. But space is running out.

Landfill capacity is becoming increasingly limited, especially in and around urban areas. In some regions, suitable sites for new landfills are no longer available — pushing costs and environmental pressure even higher.

That’s not just a waste of land — it’s a waste of valuable resources.

Oxara’s technology changes the equation by turning mineral waste into a resource. Depending on the formulation, it works with:

  • Clay-rich excavation material
  • Mixed mineral demolition waste

Instead of sending this material to landfill, it can be processed and reused locally.

That’s how we help reduce landfill pressure, close material loops, and cut the need for primary raw material extraction — all while supporting cleaner and more efficient construction.

One cubic meter of Oxara-based material can reuse up to 2 tons of mineral “waste”

Some of our proudest moments.
