When Oulesse meets art

Round Table, PD#24324 – Government Building Frauenfeld

How do regenerative building materials become part of a work of art?

Together with artist Bob Gramsma and our industrial partner KIBECO, we explored this question at the government building in Frauenfeld. As part of the public art project round table, PD#24324, our cement-free Oulesse binder became an integral element of a large-scale sculptural installation.

The formwork was shaped directly from local excavated soil, modeled on site into an organic hollow mold. This temporary earth structure was then cast with Oulesse concrete - the CO₂-reduced concrete based on our circular binder technology.

Once cured, the soil formwork was removed, revealing a sculptural meeting place made from materials that would otherwise be discarded.
