Migros Pioneer Fund supports Oxara

At a time when sustainability is at the forefront of global conversations, the construction industry has emerged as a sector in urgent need of change. With cement being a significant contributor to CO2 emissions, reusing construction waste and finding alternative building materials is no longer just an option – it is a necessity. With its cement-free solutions Oxara addresses these very issues. 

On its journey into the Swiss market and ultimately toward global expansion, Oxara is now receiving support from the Migros Pioneer Fund. At this crucial stage of growth, the impact-oriented development fund is assisting the ETH spin-off in the process of upscaling the production and strategic planning. Markus Geissler, Scout and Project Lead at Migros Pioneer Fund highlights the reason for the commitment: “The reduction of cement plays a central role on the way to a CO2-neutral construction industry. Oxara's solution has the potential to set new standards and establish cement-free concrete beyond Switzerland's borders.” 

With the backing of the Migros Pioneer Fund, Oxara is ready to embark on the next phase of its growth. “It allows us to further develop our market entry strategy which is a key focus for us right now”, says Martin Bodmer, Lead Commercial & Operation at Oxara. In the long run, Oxara thrives to mitigate climate change by providing effective and easy to implement construction materials and solutions.
