Oxara is the brainchild of Dr. Gnanli Landrou, a cosmopolitan and impact-driven innovator from Togo. In 2019, he co-founded the ETH spin-off Oxara together with his partner Dr. Thibault Demoulin. Their mission: to enable sustainable construction and affordable housing by ditching cement and transforming mineral construction waste into building materials — globally.

Dr. Landrou, a Forbes 30 Under 30 alumnus and multiple award-winner, focuses on pioneering materials that are cement-free, circular, low carbon, and financially accessible. But he doesn’t stop at materials: he’s equally committed to finding smart applications and building the right business models to make sure this transformative technology can improve the lives of over 3 billion people worldwide.
