Sara Mantellato

Lead Binder Innovation & Development

Sara completed her BSc and MSc in Industrial Chemistry in Padua. She started her path in the building materials field at BASF Construction Chemicals in Italy and Switzerland developing new admixtures for ready-mix and sprayed concrete. Her curiosity brought her to Switzerland at ETH Zürich where she completed her PhD about rheological behaviour of admixed cementitious materials and contributed to develop the new technology Smart Dynamic Concrete. The opportunity to explore innovative applications for earthen and construction waste materials opened up new horizons. At Oxara she leads the Admixture and binder innovation team with a keen eye on industrial applicability, sustainability and compliance with quality and safety regulations.
