CREABETON, a leading Swiss supplier of concrete products and part of the MÜLLER-STEINAG Group, has partnered with ETH Spin-off Oxara to launch a new collection of low-carbon concrete pavers with up to 30% lower CO₂ emissions. Standard, permeable and grass pavers powered by the Oulesse® binder are now available via CREABETON, marking a major step toward more sustainable and circular construction materials in Switzerland.

Developed in close collaboration since 2023, the three product groups integrate Oxara’s cement-free binder technology, Oulesse®, into CREABETON’s production processes. In the selected products, the Oulesse® binder serves as a major alternative to traditional cement to significantly cut carbon emissions without compromising on strength or durability.

From innovation to industrial reality
By incorporating recycled mineral waste and reducing or eliminating cement, the concrete pavers can cut CO₂ emissions significantly. These innovations are manufactured using MÜLLER-STEINAG Group’s existing production infrastructure, demonstrating that sustainable progress is achievable without major retooling or capital investment.

Standard, permeable, and grass pavers are ideal for enhancing landscaping in both public and private spaces - offering a wide range of applications and a strong balance of performance, sustainability, and design appeal. All three product groups are now available directly from CREABETON.
